Take a look at these analytics from some recent work we did for a longtime client. We’ve been writing blog posts to increase traffic to their website, through which they are selling new homes on the final stretch of Savannah River to be developed. The prospect is enticing, but if no one reaches their website to find out about it, it doesn’t really matter. Enter, our team!
You’ll notice that these two blog posts aren’t about the neighborhood or the residences within it. Instead, one is centered around the lifestyle available to those who live in Savannah. The other discusses the benefits of owning a second home. These topics might not be directly connected to our client’s product, but they are driving traffic. Why? Because they are relatable.
People are searching for shops to explore and mulling over another home purchase. We’ve just given them nuggets of great information. And it brought them to our client’s door. This is the beauty of content marketing.
The proof, as the saying goes, is in the pudding. Check out those page views and the time each visitor spent on the site. For a single post, 230 people spent an average of more than 6 minutes on the website. Even the lower-performing post had 188 people on the page for almost 5 minutes.
Sales begin with the ideal client understanding the offering. In the digital world, that begins with traffic.
In this way, content marketing pulls your customer into the sales funnel in an organic-feeling way.
